Late dinner .. causes cancer!!!!

It seems that late dinner does not only cause weight gain, as a recent Spanish study reported that people who eat dinner before nine o'clock in the evening are less likely to develop breast and prostate cancer.
The study was conducted by researchers at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health in Spain, and published their results in the latest issue of the International Journal of Cancer.

To explore the relationship between the timing of dinner and the risk of developing cancer, the team monitored the eating habits of 621 male prostate cancer patients, and more than 12 breast cancer patients.
The participants' dietary habits were also compared to another group of healthy people of both sexes.
The researchers found that eating dinner earlier in the night, and before bedtime, was associated with a lower risk of breast and prostate cancer.
Compared to people who slept immediately after dinner, those who slept two hours or more after that meal had a 20% lower risk of developing breast and prostate cancer.
The researchers also noted that there is similar protection for people who eat dinner before nine in the evening, compared to those who eat that meal after ten in the evening.
Research team leader Dr. Manolis Kojvinas said: “The results underscore the importance of evaluating the body’s circadian rhythm, its relationship to diet and cancer risk, and the need to prepare dietary recommendations to prevent cancer, focusing not only on the type and amount of food, but on the timing of eating it. “.
"The results of the study have important implications, especially in cultures such as those in southern Europe, where people tend to eat dinner late at night," Kojvinas noted.
According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common type of tumor among women all over the world in general, and the Middle East in particular, as about 1.4 million new cases are diagnosed each year, and kills more than 450 thousand women. annually around the world.
For its part, the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), stated that prostate cancer is the most common type of non-skin cancer among men, and that men aged 50 years and over are more likely to develop it.
