The Queen invites Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and her grandson Archie to spend a holiday with her

Queen Elizabeth and Archie are together again, as Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle plan to bring their son Archie from Canada for a summer vacation with Queen Elizabeth II in Scotland.

And the British newspaper "Sunday Times" reported that Archie's absence from the country in which he was born and his wider family made the Queen feel "very sad".

But Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, a dual British-American who turns one on May 6, will finally be back in the country this summer.

The newspaper pointed out that this visit may be his first trip this year, although he may accompany his parents to Britain in June when they attend the "parade of colors" that the British army holds annually to celebrate the Queen's official birthday.

According to the newspaper, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to have accepted the Queen's invitation to visit her this summer in Balmoral, her Scottish resort, and are planning to take their son with them.

They are also expected to spend time with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at Birkhall, Charles' resort in Balmoral.

About two weeks ago, a state of sadness took over the QueenFor not bringing the Duchess of Sussex Archie from Canada, after she joined her husband in Britain, to finish official commitments before embarking on their new life.

Many secrets held by Queen Elizabeth's ring

Archie stayed in Canada last week with Sussex's nanny and girlfriend Jessica Mulroney, while Harry and Meghan completed their final official engagements in the UK.

And in September Queen Elizabeth was said to be "disappointed" when the Duchess of Sussex turned down her invitation to Balmoral.

Royal sources said Harry and Meghan felt their 4-month-old son was too young for the trip, but that explanation surprised some members of the royal family, as the couple accompanied Archie on vacation to Spain and France earlier in the summer.

The news of Harry, Meghan and Archie spending time with the Queen and the royal family this year is likely to be a source of comfort in royal circles, after comments Harry made about his family, in which he said: Megan and I are "completely separated from the majority of my family."

Queen Elizabeth, 93, and her husband, Prince Philip, 98, met their eighth grandson for the first time in May at Windsor Castle, when he was two days old.

And the last official sighting of Archie was in a picture of Harry holding his son, which he posted on the “Sussex Royal” account on “Instagram” on New Year’s Eve.

Archie, seventh in line to the British throne, has spent most of the past four months in Canada, where his parents reside on Vancouver Island.

Buckingham Palace announced in January that Harry and Meghan "will no longer be working members of the royal family" in the future.
