How do you fight dry skin?

Dry skin in winter is a problem that we are not all safe from. With the cold climate, the skin becomes scaly, dry and lacks its vitality and luster, in various areas of the body, especially the parts that are directly exposed to the air, such as the face and hands. Hence, you have to give it more care to maintain its attractive wet look and natural redness.

Follow these steps and tips and have a beautiful skin in winter:

1- Moisturize your entire body after showering: the pores are open and able to absorb the components of the product properly and quickly. Among the best refreshments:

Honey: It is moisturizing and anti-bacterial and contains several vitamins that nourish the skin, thus giving the skin a distinctive smoothness. (Massage the skin with honey and leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse the face with water. A little milk can be added to honey if it has a firm texture for easy stretching.)

Olive oil: It can be applied to the entire body 30 minutes before showering.

Avocado: rich in omega-3 and vitamin E, so it maintains the skin and prevents dehydration.

Aloe vera: an excellent moisturizer for the skin, protecting the skin from dryness and cracks.

Coconut Oil: Contains fatty acids and vitamin E.

2- Peeling the skin: Peeling the skin is one of the important steps to be followed in the winter to get rid of crusts caused by dry skin.

3- Drink a lot of water: It is known that our feeling of thirst decreases in the winter season, and therefore the lack of water leads to dry skin, so you should drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to ensure that your skin remains hydrated and fresh.

4- Not to shower with hot water: The idea of showering with hot water in winter may be very tempting, but hot water dries out the skin by robbing it of its natural oils.

5- Wearing appropriate clothes: Our clothes in winter may have harsh and rough fabrics on the skin such as wool and thus exacerbate the problem of dry skin and itching, so do not let woolen and rough clothes touch your skin directly, wear soft cotton clothes first and then wear thick clothes over them.

6- Using sunscreen: When we mention sunscreen, we may think of hot summer days and strong sun. In fact, the use of sunscreen is necessary at all times of the year because it protects our skin and preserves it from ultraviolet rays that are harmful to the skin.

7- A diet rich in some basic substances that naturally nourish the skin and make it less prone to dehydration: Doctors recommend eating food rich in omega-3 acids such as salmon, flaxseed and walnuts. It is also preferable to eat food rich in polyphenols such as green tea, dark chocolate, pomegranate and strawberries. As well as paying attention to eating foods rich in vitamin C and vitamin E, which are found in many fruits such as kiwi, avocado, guava and olive oil.

And if dryness, discomfort or sensitivity persists after trying all these tips, see a dermatologist immediately because you may need medical treatment to counteract dry skin in the winter
