Emaar Properties and Twitter today announced their collaboration to broadcast the New Year celebrations in Dubai live to a global audience on Twitter for the second year in a row.
The New Year celebration will be broadcast live from Downtown Dubai on December 31, starting at 11:30 pm UAE time, and is available for viewing to audiences all over the world, whether within their Twitter accounts or outside and on all connected devices. The live stream will be accompanied by a Twitter timeline of all the conversations related to New Year's Eve.

Emaar will launch a private messaging experience on Twitter to assist viewers throughout the New Year festivities. When someone sends a private message via Twitter to @MyDowntownDubai, it will be directed to a series of automated steps to easily provide more information about what is happening around the festivities.
The private messaging experience will provide various information including a schedule of daily New Year's festive activities and a selection of recommended hotels for tourists ahead of the festivities, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions from some of those heading to the viewing sites in Downtown Dubai on New Year's Eve.
Followers of the live broadcast on Twitter will be able to witness Emaar’s reception of the New Year with the all-new “LightUp2018 #” celebration in Downtown Dubai, including Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain, to the tunes of music pieces specially prepared for this purpose, and it will also present the most amazing water shows.
