The term intraocular pressure refers to the fluid pressure inside the eye that is located between the cornea and the lens of the eye, and is similar in composition to plasma, but contains a small amount of protein.

Intraocular pressure is responsible for giving the eye its circular shape, in addition to regulating the passage of nutrients and oxygen from the blood to the eye tissues, and this is done through the pressure difference between the blood vessels in the eye and the aqueous humor.

The normal range of intraocular pressure is between 10-21 mmHg, when a reading that exceeds that rate is recorded, then the patient has high intraocular pressure.

3- Feeling pain in the head

4- Vision disturbances

5- Feeling of having a pill inside the eye

6- The presence of a blind spot in the field of external vision.
