Acting has become a reality .. “James Bond” an honorary officer in the British Royal Navy

The British Royal Navy has announced the appointment of Daniel Craig as an Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the British Royal Navy.

James Bond star Daniel Craig, as a secret agent, earns the same rank as his role as 007 James Bond.

First Lord Admiral Admiral Tony Radakin, Commander of the Royal Navy, said Craig "is known as Commander James Bond for the past 15 years, a naval officer who keeps Britain safe by performing missions around the world". He continued: "This is what the real Royal Navy does every day, using technology and skill in the same way as Bond himself."

For his part, Craig confirmed in an official statement that he was honored to be appointed to the rank of Honorary Commander in Senior Service.
