Beginning in childhood, the doctor conducts regular examinations of the child, during which he records the height and weight on a graphic curve called the child’s growth chart or curve so that the doctor can determine whether the child’s growth rate is normal or not.
The growth rate of children varies from one child to another, depending on several factors, including: sex, dietary habits, physical activity, health problems, environment, and hormones.
