Fashion Forward Dubai” carries designers from the Middle East to the capital of international lights and fashion

Fashion Forward Dubai, the most prominent event in the fashion and fashion industry in the Middle East, has its third exhibition in the French capital, Paris, as part of its endeavors to strengthen business links in the fields of fashion and fashion between Dubai and the global fashion capital. Twelve designers displayed selected creative collections of the season's fashion and accessories in front of buyers and media representatives in the Presidential Suite Rooms 12 and 4136 at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel. The exhibition was held in cooperation with Muriel Biazit, the global consultancy concerned with the development of the fashion sector.

The collections on display bore the signatures of some of the most famous designers from the Middle East region, such as Anaya, Amira Haroun, Asia Krasnaya, Sadeem Chima, Judy, Hessa Al Falasi, Cage, Rola Ghalayini, Sultana, Tania George and Atraj, who showcased their creations in front of buyers from international stores. In parallel, the “Fashion Forward Dubai” exhibition in Paris hosted a workshop in partnership with INSEAD in an effort to support the creative exchange of experiences and contribute to strengthening trade cooperation between Europe and the countries of the Middle East. The workshop discussed the emergence of a global fashion community, in the presence of designers, experts and influential figures, while it was chaired by Ramzi Nakad, co-founder of Fashion Forward Dubai.

Dubai, with its central location, is ideal for hosting emerging talents in the fashion world, both local and international, due to its cultural diversity, medium location and advanced infrastructure, which combine to form factors that support “Fashion Forward Dubai” in achieving its ambitions to become a vibrant global platform that embraces the best designers from all over the world. around the world.

The social and cultural diversity in the city of Dubai, which hosts communities of 180 nationalities, has always been unparalleled in the world, according to Ramzi Nakad, who considered that what unites the city’s residents is not a national history, but rather a “moral package that includes activity, ambition, and sincerity in Work,” stressing that “working hard and sincerely is enough to achieve success.” He added: “Paris has enhanced the status of some of the region’s brightest fashion stars, such as Elie Saab, and witnessed the launch of the careers of many regional designers, as it is the center, meeting place and capital of international fashion, and we hope that Paris has always been the city we go to to nurture future generations of designers.”

Nakad considered that organizing a talent exchange program in design between Paris and Dubai “would be very beneficial,” noting that Dubai “offers a more suitable option for launching emerging brands because it allows participation without taxes, fees and low rents in platforms such as the “Fashion Forward Dubai” exhibition compared to other cities. Others like New York and London,” he added, “Fashion Forward Dubai adds the highest value to brands by putting emerging talents in the spotlight. They are not second-class participants in Fashion Week, but rather the champions of that week.”

Claire Seven of Bloomingdale’s Dubai said during the panel discussion: “In our constant quest to uncover emerging talents in the fashion world, we found that Fashion Forward Dubai has always helped build a forum for brands across the Middle East, providing support for them to develop and grow. During the hour-long discussion, the guests were briefed on the authenticity of the Middle East fashion market, and discussed opportunities to establish retail businesses in the region. Speakers outlined best practices to achieve the desired expansion of brands, whether in traditional or online distribution channels, in the GCC, as well as ways in which French fashion brands can adapt their products and make them attractive to local tastes.

The discussion session was followed by a reception held at the “Fashion Forward Dubai” exhibition in Paris, during which a selection of the most prominent fashion designers in the region presented their collections, allowing the attendees to get a closer look at fashion trends and the determinants of customer behavior in the region.
