How do you take advantage of all the features in the Apple Watch?

Apple smart watches (Apple Watch) contain many advanced features and tools that help track sports activities, health indicators, and other features that facilitate many aspects of our daily lives.

Apple is constantly adding more features to the latest models of its smart watches and to the watchOS operating system to improve the user experience. To make the most of your Apple smart watch, you should be aware of the available settings and how to adjust them appropriately.

Below is a set of settings that you can adjust on Apple smart watches to enhance the use experience:

1- Customize widgets:

Apple has added widgets to the WatchOS 10 operating system, which are tools that display useful information such as: the amount of time remaining on the timer that is currently running, weather conditions, news headlines, and more.

Widgets make it easy to access a variety of information on the main watch screen without having to navigate between multiple applications. To modify and customize the widgets appearing on your watch screen, follow these steps:

Swipe up on the main watch screen to access widgets.

Press and hold the Apple Watch screen to go into editing mode, similar to how you would edit Home screen apps on an iPhone.

You will notice that an icon containing a plus sign (+) appears at the top. Click on it to reveal a group of widgets that you can choose from and add to the main watch screen.

2- Turn on low power mode to conserve battery power:

If you're using an Apple Watch Series 4 or a watch running WatchOS 9 or later, you'll be able to use Low Power Mode.

This mode preserves the watch's battery life by disabling the Always On Display feature, and some other features such as irregular heart rhythm notifications, in addition to limiting the operation of some sensors.

To turn on Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

Open the Settings menu on your watch.

Scroll down to the Battery section, then activate Low Power Mode.

3- Unlock the Apple Watch using an iPhone:

You may sometimes face difficulty while typing the passcode on your Apple Watch to unlock it, but you can adjust the settings to automatically unlock the watch when the iPhone connected to it is unlocked.

To do this, follow these steps:

Click on the Digital Crown of the Apple Watch, then go to the Settings menu.

Scroll down to the Passcode option, and activate the Unlock with iPhone option.
Your iPhone will display an alert indicating that your iPhone will be used to unlock your Apple Watch whenever you unlock the phone.

4- Increase the font size to make texts easier to read:

You can increase the font size to make it easier to read various texts and notifications on the Apple Watch screen. To do this, follow these steps:

Go to the Settings application on the Apple smart watch.

Click on the Display & Brightness option, then click on Text Size.

Slide the digital crown to adjust the text size on your watch.

If you're using an Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra, or Apple Watch Ultra 2, you'll have more options to increase text size, because these models have larger displays than other models.

5- Mute notifications:

Activating silent mode on the Apple Watch and relying on vibrations to alert you of the arrival of notifications can help increase focus while exercising or performing any other task that requires concentration.

To activate silent mode on the Apple Watch, swipe up from the bottom side to access the Control Center, then click on the bell icon to activate Silent Mode.

You can also do this by going to the Settings app on the Apple Watch, then scrolling down to the Sound & Haptics section, then activating silent mode. In the same section, you'll find an indicator to adjust the volume of incoming notifications if you prefer not to mute them completely.
