Jennifer Lawrence's engagement rocks Hollywood!!!!!

In the news that shook Hollywood, Los Angeles woke up today to the news of the engagement of Oscar-winning star Jennifer Lawrence and her boyfriend, Cook Maroney, who is the director of an art gallery.

People magazine reported on its website on Tuesday that an agent for Lawrence, one of the world's most famous movie stars, confirmed her engagement to 34-year-old Maroney.

Celebrity news site Page Six said Lawrence was seen wearing a "big ring" and enjoying what appeared to be a dinner party with Maroni at a French restaurant in New York recently.

Lawrence won the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in the romantic comedy “The Treat With Happiness” (Silver Linings Playbook). She is also best known for her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games series, and has earned her three other Oscar nominations.

USA Today said Maroney is the director of an art gallery at Gladstone Gallery in New York.

As of early Wednesday morning, it was not possible to obtain a comment from Lawrence's business manager or a spokesman for the public relations company that runs her business, and the Maroni Gallery did not respond to phone calls, according to "Reuters".

The date of the marriage has not yet been announced.
