Let your body speak

Let your body speak

One of the areas on your body that most communicate how we feel are our hands and arms.

Sometimes the hand and arm expressions are intentional, but most of the time they happen naturally, unintentionally.

  • Saying something important: Hands open and arms, especially outstretched, and the palms in front of the body at chest height, indicate that what you say is important, especially when people are speaking in public, the pointing finger or the hand waving above the shoulders confirms a personal opinion.

But usually people may find a speaker who points their fingers a lot a bit annoying.

  • Openness and sincerity: When people want to be honest or sincere and will hold one or both hands against the other person, footballers who have committed an offense usually use this expression to try to convince the referee that they have done nothing.
  • nervousness (tension): if a person puts his hands on his mouth, this indicates either that he is hiding something or that he is nervous
  • Fidgeting with your hands: For example, tapping the table with your fingers also shows that you are tense, as well as carrying a bag or purse tightly in front of the body.
  • Sublimity: People who feel high about you appear relaxed with their hands clasped behind their head.

Chin and head often up, this expression is traditional for lawyers, accountants and other professionals who feel they know more than you do.

  • Another expression of height is to put your hands in your pocket with your thumb sticking out.
  • Feeling defensive: the hands are folded tightly around the chest (shoulder), which is a classic expression of defensiveness that indicates that you are protecting yourself.

People also use this expression when they are listening to someone, to show their opposition to what he has to say.

This expression can simply mean that the person is cold (disinterested and passive).

  • Thinking a lot: where a person brings a hand to his head and extends the index finger on his cheek, and the rest of the fingers are placed under the mouth, it usually appears that the person is thinking deeply. When a person strokes his chin, he is often thinking of something important or making a decision.
  • Feeling of attraction: If men are attracted to someone, they sometimes hold their earlobes, while women repeatedly touch a tuft of their hair or put their hair behind their ears.
Let your body speak
  • Lying: There are many expressions that indicate that a person is lying and to be confident you should expect that the person will show more than one expression. Expressions include placing your hands in the front of your mouth, touching your nose, rubbing your eyes, touching your ear, scratching your neck, or placing your finger or Your fingers in your mouth.
