In exclusive statements to a newspaper, the artist Shahira, Mahmoud Yassin's wife, confirmed that her husband had already retired from acting permanently, content with the path he presented over the past years.

Although Yassin has been away from acting for years, it was not the case that he was retiring, and the family rejected what was said years ago about Yassin being excluded from the Adel Imam series because of his inability to memorize the script.

The matter was finally announced, after Shahira confirmed that her husband's retirement came for health reasons and his inability to participate in any artistic works at the present time, refusing to reveal the details of her husband's health condition.

To remain ambiguous about the matter, after the news that has been circulating over the past years, that the Egyptian artist, who presented more than 200 artworks, is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Shahira explained that Yassin will not be limited to his decision to stay away from artwork, but that he will not be present at artistic festivals as well, as well as the honors given to him, as the health model will prevent him from being present.

Noting that he was basically rare to attend those occasions, but he will not be able to attend at the present time, while the only means of communication between him and his fans will be through his official accounts on social media, where Shahira confirmed that her husband owns a page and there is a person responsible for manage it.

With this decision, the curtain falls on the career of Yassin, who was born in Port Said Governorate in 1941, and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, and then launched through the National Theater.
