Rolls-Royce allows you to design your car on demand

In a bold expression of dynamism, Rolls-Royce unveils the Wraith Luminary Collection. Inspired by those who lead and follow, the Wraith Luminary Collection lights the way for luxury connoisseurs. The word luminary in English means a prominent person in his field or a star lit such as the sun or the moon.

In response to the continued demand for Rolls-Royce Limited Collection cars, the marque has created a collection of just 55 of these iconic Wraith cars. These cars join the ranks of the bespoke masterpieces of the Bespoke program. It was designed by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke team for luxury patrons from around the world to include in their collections of valuables.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “I consider the Wraith Luminary a breathtaking car and a collectible piece of value. It speaks directly to the Rolls-Royce brand with its modern, progressive and avant-garde look, the brand always on the throne of artisanal luxury. It is a car that celebrates visionaries who excel in their respective fields. Indeed, this collection is for personalities who bring light to the world.”

The paint color of this car is inspired by the shades of the sun's rays in a gold watch, a newly developed Sunburst Grey. It's a gray that energizes when the sun rises, with rich copper tones that exude a beautiful emotional warmth. The hand-drawn side line reflecting the sun's rays, the Wake Channel Lines painted on the bonnet and the wheel center stripes in Saddlery Tan recall the color of the interior leather, add to the mystery.

Energy flows through this charged version of Wraith. The cabin sparkles with luxury characterized by a modern character that is quickly revealed in front of you when the doors are opened in reverse, and the light flows from the front into the rear passenger compartment. The main feature of this collection is Tudor Oak, extracted from the forests of the Czech Republic and selected for its colour, density and texture and being used as light for the first time ever. The use of 176 LEDs allows the light to penetrate through a very finely perforated design into the wood cladding, creating a captivating pattern reminiscent of the light left behind by meteors, which is illuminated at the touch of a button. This system is connected to the controls for the star-studded headliner, and the wood trim in the Wraith cabin embraces the occupants in a cozy atmosphere thanks to the glow of light emanating from them.

And speaking of meteors, the Rolls-Royce team of masterful engineers, designers and craftsmen at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex have worked to give the interior of the Luminary cars a striking depiction of the stars in the form of meteors. Rolls-Royce's iconic star-studded roof features 1340 hand-stitched fiber-optic lights to give the impression of a sparkling starry sky.

This combination takes approximately 20 hours to achieve, and eight meteors shoot randomly and often over the front seats to salute the Wraith driver.

The Wraith Luminary's interior features Saddlery Tan leather exteriors, while the anthracite leather-trimmed rear seats contrast, highlighting the driver's position. The seat trims from the tubular seats are also contrasted with the stitching, which creates a subtle aesthetic harmony between the front of the cabin and the rear compartment. Alternatively, a more striking contrast can be selected by dialing in Seashell leather for the rear section, which is beautifully harmonized by the two-tone steering wheel.

The Rolls-Royce team of engineers, designers and craftsmen are constantly working in search of new sources of inspiration from outside trends and influences. In a step of much progress and progress, a stainless steel weave has been woven by hand, a highly innovative and innovative technique in luxury craftsmanship, and this texture has been applied to the central transmission cover and door pockets, contrasting with oak and brown saddle leather.

This technical fabric is woven by fusing threads ranging from 0.08 mm to 0.19 mm in a pattern precisely defined to 45 degrees to complement the car's interior lines and achieve a unified appearance in the cabin when viewed from either side. It takes three days to implement this fabric in a “clean room” environment, and the fabric is manipulated to cover the central platform and is modified to suit its purpose, transforming from an industrial object to become a perfect fit inside the Rolls-Royce car, reflecting the light of the unique wooden sashes illuminated on the doors.

The door sills bear the collection name WRAITH LUMINARY COLLECTION - ONE OF FIFTY engraved on hand-polished stainless steel.

Wraiths have always attracted visionaries who are captivated by the promise of unending power and a streamlined rear design that evokes acceleration. This is the Gran Turismo for masters par excellence. The remarkable success of the Wraith in attracting a new generation of drivers to the brand is reflected in this distinctive and innovative car, which is the most accurate and true expression of pure luxury.
