The dress of the Queen and her granddaughter makes history after his unique story
Princess Beatrice's wedding dress has become the most famous dress of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain. This is after the Queen wore it for the first time in 58 years to appear Again this year as her granddaughter's wedding dress. It is currently on display to the public at Windsor Palace, where the secret wedding of Princess Beatrice to Italian businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was held, after it was postponed from May to July, due to the health conditions imposed by the spread of the Corona epidemic.
This ivory gown bears the signature of British designer Norman Hartnell. It is made of silk taffeta and satin, and decorated with silver embroideries. Queen Elizabeth wore this dress for the first time in 1962 when she attended the premiere of "Lawrence of Arabia" at the famous Odeon Theatre, and again in 1967 during the opening of the British Parliament session.
borrowed Princess Beatrice this dress from her grandmother the queen's wardrobe to wear on her wedding day. She made some modifications to the skirt, and added an organza sleeve to it. She coordinated it with ivory satin shoes signed by Valentino, and Queen Mary's tiara, which Queen Elizabeth previously wore during her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.
