Five foods to avoid during pregnancy
There are certain types of foods that negatively affect the health and development of the fetus.
First: Liver oil capsules, cod liver oil
Excessive intake of this type of capsules leads to an increase in vitamin A, the presence of which in large quantities in the pregnant mother’s body is linked to congenital malformations of the fetus such as bone malformations.
Second: Certain types of soft cheese
Soft cheeses such as white Camembert, goat cheese, and blue cheeses such as Danish may contain listeria bacteria that can cause harmless bouts of diarrhea, or may lead to miscarriage.
Third: cold or undercooked meat, unpasteurized milk or unpasteurized cheese
The above-mentioned foods may lead to influenza-like illness because they contain Toxoplasma, a small fungus that also affects cats, and may damage the eyes of the fetus, as well as cause a miscarriage.
Fourth: Undercooked eggs and products containing raw eggs
Some products, such as those that are homemade, such as mayonnaise or chocolate candy, can cause salmonella poisoning, which can lead to severe diarrhea or even lead to a miscarriage.
Fifthly: peanuts
Eating peanuts can affect the health of the pregnant mother if she is allergic to peanuts, and there is an increased risk of the pregnant mother eating peanuts, which makes the fetus allergic to peanuts in childhood.
