Your digestive system tells you not to drink milk with these foods

Many are interested in maintaining the health of their bodies and include nutrient-rich foods and drinks in their daily diet. Among the healthy choices comes milk, which is rich in nutrients such as protein, calcium, vitamins A, B6, D and K, phosphorus, magnesium and iodine, but, according to what was published by the “Times of India”, you should be aware that there are some foods that may not go well with milk, and can lead to digestive discomfort or reduce nutrient absorption, as follows:

1. Curd

Milk and curd should never be taken together, as the combination of the two harms the health of the digestive system and causes stomach and digestion issues.

2. Citrus

Eating citrus fruits and milk together can lead to vomiting or stomach pain. If you must drink milk, experts recommend that there be a time difference of at least two hours after eating the citrus fruit.

3. Banana

It is believed that eating bananas with milk can be a healthy habit, but it is time to stop eating them together. It is a very heavy mixture and can lead to feelings of fatigue because it takes a long time to digest.

4. fish

Fish is very beneficial for health, but it should not be eaten with milk, because the combination of them causes digestive problems such as food poisoning and stomach pain. Eating milk and fish can also lead to skin problems.

5. Melon

Melon is known to be a fruit rich in water content while milk has laxative properties. If melon and milk are combined in one meal, it may lead to stomach problems and diarrhea.

6. Spicy food and spices

The spice can stimulate the production of acid in the stomach, which, when combined with milk, can lead to digestive issues for some. Spicy foods such as curries and peppers can increase the risk of acid reflux or indigestion when consumed with milk.

7. Salty snacks

Eating salty snacks like chips and pretzels can make you thirsty. But when drinking milk instead of water to quench thirst, the high salt content can upset the electrolyte balance in the body, which results in a feeling of bloating and discomfort.

8. Foods rich in protein

While milk is indeed a good source of protein, eating it with other protein-rich foods such as eggs, meat, or beans may overburden your digestive system, and a mixture of multiple protein sources can be difficult to digest and may lead to gastrointestinal distress.
