 After months of living in Paris, Gogh moved to the French city of Arles, hoping to form a colony of artists, so the artist offered Gauguin to live with Gogh.

But one day, a dispute broke out between them, and Gogh had a mad fit and carried a knife to his friend Gauguin before turning it into himself.

Here he cut off his ear, but did not get rid of it, but kept it and roamed the streets of Arles before giving it to a prostitute.

He was admitted to a mental institution in Saint-Rémy, and his condition fluctuated between madness and extreme creativity

He returned again to live in a city near Paris, but his health and mental condition was very poor, which made him shoot himself.

He died at the age of 37, and this is the weapon with which the painter is believed to have shot himself.
