Standing posture, whether the legs are parallel to each other, slightly apart or crossed, or with one leg forward can express some personality traits.

And according to what was published by the “Jargan Josh” website, some experts believe that the position of the leg while standing can help a person to know some of his own personality traits or help him discover some aspects of the personality of others, explaining that there are four classic ways to stand for both men and women.

1- Parallel legs position

If a person stands with two legs parallel to each other, then his character reflects submission or respect for authority. He does not tend to be very important when talking to others, but rather is more interested in being accepted and often considered a good listener. At the same time, people in a standing position with parallel legs are distinguished by self-confidence, knowledge and knowledge of facts, along with tact and objectivity in their dealings. Standing with legs parallel to each other also helps calm the soul when a person is feeling overly excited, afraid or stressed.

It was also shown that people standing with legs parallel to each other have a neutral stance on a topic, and do not intend to have any strong feelings or participation in the topic being discussed. It was observed that women standing with parallel legs did not intend or, when speaking to their female counterparts, to make an appointment in the future.

2- Legs slightly apart

If a person stands with legs slightly apart, their personality reflects a tendency towards being authoritative and commanding. He exudes confidence and firmness, standing in a way that looks like he's trying to take up more space. He tends to express what's on his mind with confidence and consistency as well.

Behavioral experts explain that standing with slightly spread legs is more common in men, although women also stand this way to indicate power and dominance.

3- One leg forward

If a person stands with one leg forward, their personality reflects comfort and complacency as well as with their surroundings which they find very comfortable. This person lives in harmony with his inner self and enjoys the present moment. A person standing with one leg forward is distinguished by his frank expression of his feelings and emotions.

Standing with one leg forward reflects interest or attraction, and even surprisingly, if a person is standing in a group, they point their feet at the person they find most interesting or attracted to them.

4- legs crossed

If a person stands with crossed legs, it reflects their enjoyment of solitude more than when they are in a crowd. The person may be defensive or protective of their emotions and feelings. At times, they can lack confidence in certain situations or conversations, do not engage quickly with strangers due to a tendency to become closed off to any new experiences and are not necessarily nervous.

But if the person is standing in a cross-legged position with a smile and arms not clasped, it reflects a relaxed state and a desire to stay but is at the same time defensive or still assessing the situation in his mind.

general cases

In some general cases, experts explain that standing cross-legged or leaning against a wall or other object to support the back usually means that the person is "very interested" in what the conversation is about and wants to carry on to the end.

But experts warn that if someone crosses both legs and arms in a crossed position, they are likely not feeling very positive about the conversation or situation and want to leave as soon as possible.
